I understand that seeking out support can be a very tough, but a brave decision. Our emotional, and mental health are as vital as our physical health and I see therapy as a form of self-care for our overall well being.
In sessions together, you can expect to work collaboratively to become more resilient and better able to cope with your experience. I work from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach that is unique to the individual and situation. I recognize that you are the expert of your own life and experience, but I can support by implementing strategies from various counselling therapies. I primarily pull from CBT, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, and strengths-based approaches. I also believe humor, self acceptance, and social connections are key for successful healing and meaningful learning. I strive to be warm, approachable and easy to talk to. I am genuine, compassionate and truly care about the work I do with clients.

Mental health and physical health are deeply connected. Those living with mental health challenges are at higher risk of experiencing many chronic physical conditions. Conversely, those living with chronic physical health conditions are more likely to experience poor mental health. Taking care of your mental health is a key part of taking care of your overall physical health and wellness. The link between body and mind is powerful.
