Meet Amanda (She/Her)
Amanda Bennett has a Bachelor of Arts from UNBSJ majoring in psychology, certified in Autism Intervention Training of UNB Fredericton, CEL program, and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Amanda has a passion for working with youth, and has worked with children with autism and in several elementary and middle schools in the city as an educational assistant and school intervention worker.
Amanda used to co-own an online money management/budgeting business and created online training groups that taught people all over Canada how to create a better financial health plan for themselves and their families. They taught ways to save, monthly budgets, cash flow skills, and would present for various organizations, such as girl guide groups to help younger individuals learn smart money management.
She has initiated some great programs and clubs in her schools to help fill the needs of many students and offer them a safe place to grow.
Amanda is passionate about helping individuals with their daily life challenges and working on goals to help create a more desirable overall well-being.
I am also a member of the LGBTQ+ community and work with my school’s GSA, Gay straight alliance group, to help students navigate this world, offering support and guidance, in our weekly meetings.
"The pain you feel today is the strength you feel tomorrow. For every challenge encountered, there is opportunity for growth."
