Taylor is the Operations Coordinator at Laura Gatien & Associates Counselling Services. She supports the practice through behind-the-scenes coordination and administrative operations that help create a smooth, welcoming experience. Taylor works closely with the team to ensure systems and communication run efficiently, allowing clinicians to focus on client care.

Jessica Bird joined Laura Gatien & Associates in 2025. She brings years of experience in the healthcare field, all the way from out West. With her education in both Technical Writing & Health Information Management, she brings a unique perspective to the team. With a kind, friendly & people-focused approach to her work, she aims to make every client’s experience a welcoming one. 

Amanda Garnett, our full-time admin assistant, has 22 years experience in client service with a strong dedication to client support. You will always receive personalized care from Amanda.

With a true interest in people, she will be the first person to welcome you into our clinic. On the phone Amanda will go the extra mile to find you the right fit and the right time for your appointment. With a contagious energy and empathy for your needs, Amanda will quickly become your go-to person.

As a passionate advocate for mental health, I’ve always felt a strong drive to support those around me. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Carleton University, I’m committed to understanding the complexities of human behaviour and providing meaningful assistance to others.

Currently, I’m in the process of preparing for my future studies, aiming to pursue a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My goal is to obtain my LCT (Licensed Counselling Therapist) and make a positive impact in the lives of individuals seeking guidance and support.

In my spare time, I enjoy being active, reading, spending time connecting with family and friends and being outside which helps me stay grounded and connected to the community I hope to serve.

With over 20 years of experience in customer service, Heidi Smith brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our practice at Laura Gatien and Associates. Her outgoing and friendly personality ensures every patient feels welcome and comfortable from the moment they step into our office.

Her approachable personality makes her a go-to resource for both colleagues and clients, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Heidi is committed to meeting the needs of our clients, whether it be booking an appointment, or answering questions about our services.

Charmagne Stevens joined Laura Gatien & Associates in 2021 after retiring from growing and developing a successful non-profit business. With several decades of experience in Financial Administration and Business Management, she brings a unique skill set and perspective to our admin team.

Tanya Taylor is our Financial Specialist. With over 15 years of accounting experience, she has an incredible eye for detail, and brings a calm, solutions-oriented approach.

Ashley Tilley is our dedicated Marketing Manager and has been with the team since 2024. She oversees the LGA brand and marketing efforts, including the website, social media, newsletter and advertising.
