ADHD and Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy in New Brunswick
Neurodiversity is a way of understanding that brains come in all kinds of wiring, and that’s not a bad thing. If you or your child has ADHD, Autism, dyslexia or another learning difference, it doesn’t mean something is "wrong." It just means your brain works differently.
Still, navigating a world designed around neurotypical norms can sometimes feel exhausting, overwhelming, or alienating. You may find yourself constantly adapting, explaining, or trying to fit into expectations that don’t reflect your needs. That’s where therapy can be a supportive space—not to “fix” who you are, but to help you thrive as you are.
How We Support Neurodivergent Individuals and Families
We offer neurodiversity-affirming therapy for people of all ages. Our approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration and respect for neurodivergent identities, with practical strategies tailored to your life and your goals.
Here’s what that can look like:
ADHD-focused therapy and coaching for support with attention, impulsivity, executive functioning, and building on your strengths
Counselling for autistic individuals and those with related neurodivergence, with support for sensory needs, unmasking, self-advocacy and identity development
Therapy for anxiety, burnout and depression, especially when shaped by long-standing misunderstandings or unmet access needs
Parent and caregiver coaching to nurture understanding, connection and support for neurodivergent children in ways that honour their experiences
Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child or your entire family, we’re here to walk alongside you — with acceptance, not expectation.
WHO WE HELP
We proudly support a wide range of neurodivergent clients both in person and virtually. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to access our services. Whether you're diagnosed, self-identified, or simply exploring whether neurodivergence might be part of your experience, we're here to help. (Please note: while we offer therapeutic support, we do not provide diagnostic assessments.)
We work with:
Children and youth with ADHD, Autism, or learning differences who may be struggling with school, transitions, friendships, or emotional regulation
Teens and young adults navigating identity, anxiety, sensory needs, and the pressures of a neurotypical world
Adults with ADHD or Autism (diagnosed or self-identified) looking for support with work, relationships, executive functioning, or daily routines
Parents and caregivers who want to reduce stress, better understand their child, and create supportive, connected home environments
Late-diagnosed or undiagnosed adults who suspect they may be neurodivergent and are seeking clarity, affirmation, and tools for self-understanding
We offer a safe, non-judgmental, and neurodiversity-affirming space where you or your child can feel seen, supported, and empowered — just as you are.
How Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy Works
The first step in connecting with a neurodiversity or ADHD counsellor in Fredericton or Saint John is to fill out this form. Based on your requirements, we’ll match you with someone we feel is best suited to help you. Alternatively, you can take our quiz and get matched with an appropriate therapist for your needs.
How often you attend sessions is discussed collaboratively and is based on your needs and schedule.
You are always in control of your therapy, working at your own pace, and can choose the frequency and length to best suit your needs.
How much does ADHD and neurodiversity-affirming therapy cost?
Sessions with a registered social worker (RSW) or licensed counselling therapist (LCT) are $150 for 50 minutes.
For Family, Couples, EMDR or Play Therapy, sessions are $160 for 50 minutes.
Our counselling fees are not covered by Medicare but are covered by many extended health insurance plans.
Our clinic has therapists who are either registered social workers (RSW) or Licensed Counselling Therapists (LCT).
You must check your specific plan for what you have coverage for, as coverage is different for each policy. Verify that your plan covers counselling/therapy with a MSW, RSW or LCT. Your insurance may state you have coverage for clinical counsellor or psychotherapist, which would cover LCT or social worker.
We also offer direct billing with many different insurance companies, which allows you to keep more money in your pocket. We can direct bill Blue Cross, Veterans Affairs (VAC), Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), Canada Life, Claim Secure, Chamber of Commerce, Work Safe, NIHB, Department of Social Development, and more provided your plan is set up for direct billing. Your are still responsible for any co-pay amounts at the time of service.
