About Me

Hey there! My name is Emily Creamer, and I love working with people to find creative, practical and effective ways to manage life stressors.

Graduating from St. Thomas University as a Social Work student, I believe that there is so much that happens in this world that we cannot control. While a lot of those things have a direct and meaningful impact on our lives, I also believe that it is our responsibility as humans to learn to determine what is out of control and to direct our attention and energies to what is within it.

My Experience

With years of experience working as a Therapist in a community setting, I have quite a tool box of therapeutic techniques that may be helpful for you. These include, but are certainly not limited to, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. With this versatile set of tools, I consider myself a bit of an eclectic practitioner, ready to meet you wherever you need to be met.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is intentional, holistic, and eclectic. I think therapy works best when we work together, therapist and client, to explore, acknowledge and process your story.

Who I See

I work with adults (18+) navigating life. While my practice is inclusive, and I believe I have the tools to help people navigate all of life’s experiences, I have lots of experience working with adults, seniors, and those living with major mental illness.

My Practice

A lot of the foundation for my practice comes from the belief that it is very helpful to build a strong tolerance for the uncomfortable things that arise in life without avoiding or pushing while also not being stuck in it. There is a lot of value in acknowledging how much it has taken and how much strength it has taken you to get here.
